Resources

Finding helpful resources for dealing with any form of life struggles or mental health disorders, can be challenging. Fortunately, I was able to find several ways to deal with my own struggles –living with anxiety. Some of these resources range from natural medicine, dietary supplements, therapy, books, podcast, mental health helplines, networking, and yes, even socializing helps reduce anxiety.

Therapy

  • Zero gravity therapy
  • Cognitive behavioral therapy
  • Hypnotherapy
  • Meditation Therapy
  • Yoga
  • Expressive Art therapy – This can be any type of art therapy.

Dietary supplements and Natural Medicine

  • Acupuncture
  • Ashwagandha
  • Vitamin B12
  • Chamomile
  • Green tea
  • Lavender or any essential oil you find its aroma to be therapeutic

Nutrition/Diet/wellness

From my experience making changes to my diet and overall wellness has really helped reduce the amount of anxiety attacks I encounter. Sometimes I don’t encounter any anxiety attacks for a whole month! For me that’s record breaking. These are a few lists of foods that can help reduce anxiety and stress:

  • Avocado
  • Leafy green vegetables
  • Almonds or walnuts
  • Turkey
  • Salmon
  • Blueberries

Adding more physical activity such as exercise to your daily routine can also help reduce anxiety/stress

Networking- I have tried a few networking events (mental health) in my area and I found them to be helpful. It may also work for you to try one in your area.

Podcast

  • The Anxiety Coaches Podcast
  • The Anxiety Slayer
  • The Overwhelmed Brain
  • The Anxiety Guy Podcast

Games/Apps

  • Anxiety Cures
  • Pacifica
